A fabulous French gold-gilt and painted barometer from the 19th century, aligning with the style of Louis XVI. This early instrument of meteorology has been adorned with an extraordinary wreath crest of carved laurel leaves, and a small bird over a fluted motif. The porcelain face has hand-painted numbers and lettering which describe the various weather conditions, indicated by a svelte “hand” mounted to the center of the dial. Here is a captivating addition to any space, this antique elevates a room’s status to the next atmosphere of style.
