Description
Nerone Ceccarelli was an Italian sculptor. He worked under the banner of research characterized by the integration of art and architecture, while he developed sculptures linked to a strict geometric abstractionism.
Since 1954 he has lived between Venice and Florence, where his studies focused mainly on some Tuscan artists. In the meantime he attends the course of sculpture at the Academy of Florence and, following the transfer of the family, in that of Venice, where he will know the friend Giancarlo Patuzzi.
In 1962 he founded the Group NP2, acronym that includes the initials of Nerone and Giancarlo Patuzzi: together with other artists "experiment with new sources of poetic expression from materials". In 1964 Nerone called to be part of the Group NP2 his brother, Piercarlo Ceccarelli, who until then was interested in electronic data processing and business organization. The intent of the group is to promote the integration of art in architecture together with other professionals. The presence of Piercarlo Ceccarelli proves to be fundamental during the first years of the Group, as he, with his managerial skills and working ties with the USA, will be in charge of promoting ideas and organizational aspects. Thanks to Piercarlo Ceccarelli, sample exhibitions will be organized between 1965 and 1967 in cities in the United States and Canada.
Here a beautiful wall panel in "carved" metal of '60s. The panel reports the signatures of the authors and the certification of the producer.
