This stunning Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern vase was designed by the esteemed Otto Brauer and for Holmegaard, and handblown in Murano, Italy, circa 1960. The piece features a cylindrical body with curved shoulders that ascends into a slender cylindrical neck before flaring at its mouth, executed in mottled white glass. At the base, there is a stunning hand embellished detailing resembling the gestural strokes of an abstract Expressionist painting (such as a vibrant Jackson Pollock) in tones of sapphire and emerald. With its sophisticated palate and clean lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary.
