Description
Abstract Wooden Mobil Sculpture by Artist Michael Ince (1942- American). Mid Century Modern Mobil Art Sculpture by Michael Ince. An early work 1970's of assembled cut crafted wooden pieces floating cloud like on natural rope. The delicate nature of his precise arrangement into composition is serene, peaceful, and compelling with an organic natural appeal. Reclaimed wood cut and assembled into a Mobil. Shapes simple and complex merged together presented in 3 dimensional context. This piece hangs appearing weightless while having defining lines of mass and weight. The natural tones of the wood and rope are soothing and subtle creating a softness that touch your senses through vision. Physically you touch nothing but feel everything. Michael Ince is an artist noted for his reclaimed Wood sculptures, Mobiles, and small structures, including treehouses . His work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe, also working in wood block prints and drawing.
