Description
Mid-Century Modern Carrara Marble Abstract Sculpture
$4,475.00
This elegantly bold Mid-Century Modern Carrara Marble Abstract Sculpture originates from the United States, Circa 1970. Features an abstracted geometric form with a remarkable sense of movement and rhythm. The piece forms a loop achieving both rounded and pointed forms, with rigorous attention to detail and well handled edges as the forms bend and influence one another visually. The eye is drawn around the sculpture where it rests at dynamic moments before continuing around the loop, such as the triangular point rising to the left, the vertical lunge from the base, and the curvaceous curve to the right. As the elements of the sculpture intersect when viewed from the front, subtle openings are created, giving a lighter sensibility to this substantial sculpture. Rests on an rectilinear black marble base. This stunning sculpture is an excellent example of the motifs and sensibility of Mid-Century Modernism, and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
