Description
Pair of Carl Auböck Model #1937 'Bamboo' bookends. Designed in the 1950s, this incredibly refined and sculptural pair of bookends are executed hand cut and polished bamboo and brass.
Price is for the pair. Two in stock ready to ship. Available in unlimited quantities. Please note that in-stock availability is subject to change at any time. Allow additional 3-4 weeks for items not in stock. Can take up to 8 weeks.
Produced by Carl Auböck IV in the original Auböck Werkstätte in the 7th district of Vienna using the same exacting standers, high-quality materials, original molds and techniques of his legendary grandfather. Auböck's design career was long and varied, reaching its pinnacle of prestige at the Triennale di Milano in 1954, where he received four gold medals.
Please note that only one representative example of each item is shown in the images. Finish varies from item to item as does the sizing of the Bamboo due to the organic nature of the materials and handmade nature of their fabrication.
