Description
A boldly drawn, almost tribal-looking SE Persian city carpet in a large tile-scale pattern of ivory diamonds, and navy or cochineal red hexagons enclosing giant petal palmettes. Cloud bands in the lateral Half-hexagons. Looks like an ancestral Afshar. Red border with barbed leaf meander sprouting various palmettes. Probably a genuine Lavar carpet. Fine weave on cotton. Good condition. Natural dyes.
