Description
An exquisite Chinese late Kangxi period (1661 - 1722) blue and white porcelain charger of large size made for export to Europe, of circular form with raised convex central roundel painted with auspicious objects surrounded by pagoda, pomegranate, and scholar's rocks in waves within prunus and foliate border inside outer landscape border, the reverse painted with foliate sprays along the outside. A spectacular example in design, size, and condition.
