Description
A "Julia" porcelain plate with surrealism designs by Piero Fornasetti for Rosenthal, an iconic series from 'Temi e variazioni' (“Themes and Variations”). These plates were made for displaying on the wall as well as daily use and there are pre-drilled holes on the back for easy hanging. It is a vintage piece with gilt on the edge of the plates and different from the current productions. This collection was inspired by the renowned soprano vocalist, Lina Cavalieri, who was invented and depicted the lady 'Julia' in various composition. Marked on the bottom with [Rosenthal, Germany/Fornasetti/Dekor: Temi e variazioni] and also the plates ('Motiv') number 13.
