This pair of pen holders reflects the restrained utility and material integrity associated with Brazilian modern desk accessories of the mid-twentieth century. Modest in scale yet deliberate in execution, the forms emphasize proportion and craftsmanship over ornament.

Each cylindrical vessel is turned from solid rosewood (jacarandá), defined by gently flared rims and subtly stepped bases that articulate the profile without excess. The vertical grain remains clearly legible across the surface, revealing the density and tonal depth characteristic of the species.
