Description
F. Luis Mora was the first Hispanic member of the National Academy of Design. This is a museum-quality work. In fact, it used to hang in the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco
The work is significantly better in-person and making a very large statement. It is most likely painted in the mid-1920's in a post-impressionist style with heavy impasto.
