-
Description
Rooftop view of the upper West Side Manhattan as it looked in the 1930s. There is a rough indication of a billboard and a glimpse of the Hudson River. The cluster of buildings depicted function both as representation and abstraction painting. Signed lower right, Framed behind glass. The medium appears to be a mix of gouache and oil or perhaps some mixed media unique to the artist. There is some impasto evident.
