Description
Maritime View of a Trawler and Three Mast Schooner Passing the Marblehead Lighthouse and Dock

Oil on board, in a contemporary frame
28 3/4" x 49"; 32" x 58 1/8" framed
Condition: Over-all in fine condition, minor restoration to the corners of the board, minor abrasions along outer edges.
Frost was known for naive marine and historical genre paintings centering around the whaling and shipping town of Marblehead, Massachusetts. He created most of his works later in life and is known to have painted about 80 works between 1923 and 1928. -
