Martha Winter employs a unique technique to create visually stunning 3 dimensional pieces where painting meets sculpture. By building textures and pattern she creates an organic ordering of the parts that complete the whole. Every nuance of shade and flow, shadow and silhouette are contained in these paintings, reflecting the artists fascination and bond with the micro and macro patterns found in nature. This piece, Bluster, East to West, tracks the flow and creates a very real sense of movement across the entire picture.
