Artist Statement:
I am a grandson of Howard Ashman Patterson, a great American painter. A graduate from Suny Purchase, NY, I've received honors in sculpture, painting & printmaking. I've received many awards and in 2007, I was honored to have a painting accepted into an international show at the Louvre in Paris.

I've traveled extensively for inspiration, painting landscapes and people in their environs. Light, reflected light and its color effects-figures, as well as the positive and negative shapes between them, color relationships- all somewhat abstracted, create the rhythm and energy of each piece
