Unsigned, ca. 1840-1860.
Oil on canvas.
22” x 27”, 26 ½” x 31 ½” with frame.
Over-all in great condition, in a period walnut frame.
The prominent pose of the white horse standing in front of a landscape of shadowy green grass and a grey-blue horizon makes this portrait so pleasing. -
