"Down comes the Sky" in the "Urban Peace" collection is an original encaustic artwork derived from the artist's own observation and imagination that points to the shared meeting place of man and nature and those fleeting moments between dimensions where one gives way to the other.
Beeswax is one of nature's best preservatives and is impervious to moisture and uv light.. Beeswax mixed with damar resin raises the melting temperature to 160 F and give the beeswax patina and hardness.

Materials:	Encaustic art - complex and labor-intensive process of painting with beeswax and fire. Layers of beeswax, pigments and fir-tree sap damar resin are painted on Russian Baltic birch panel then fused with fire.
Condition:	New. Original artwork. Pristine. One must "treasure the imperfection" of encaustic medium. By its nature there are bubbles, ridges and markings in the high-gloss smooth texture.
