Description
As it soars above smaller buildings, The Chrysler Building spire resolutely points to the heavens. The flat white sky emphasizes the spire's silhouette, allowing it to dominate the composition. To the extreme left, a cross is perched atop a church. Clearly, the Chrysler Building was conceived and executed as a secular building, but when juxtaposed with a cross, one can not help but consider its divine characteristics.
