This elegant Art Deco color lithograph was realized in Paris, France by the legendary costume-designer/ graphic artist Charles Gesmar circa 1925. The subject of this piece is the cabaret performer Mistinguette portrayed here with pearl wrist bauble bracelets, jade and lapis lazuli rings, and a luxurious white mink coat with stylized curvilinear detailing at its edges. The composition is framed in a rectangular coral border, and text in a beautiful Art Deco font reads "Mistinguette" in block lettering. Gesmar designed thousands of costumes during the 1920s and 30s, and 55 posters of Mistinguette- a lifelong muse of the artist. The piece comes presented in a custom gilded gallery frame with neoclassical detailing and is in excellent vintage condition. It is signed and dated "H. Chachoin Paris 1925 Imp. C. Gesmar".
