Val Bertoria Sonambient Sculpture

$ 22,000
  • Description
    Buffalo Sound" A kinetic Sonambient sculpture by Val Bertoia son of Harry Bertoia. Unique for a Bertoia Sonambient sound sculpture an animal representation and mounted to a pine stand which positions the sculpture on a 45 degree angle. This is to encourage and allow the viewer to interact with the art. By clasping your hands around the beryllium rods, bringing the roods all together and then releasing the rods. You allow the sculpture to reveal the art in motion creating its wonderful Somambient sound. Looking down at the rods in motion as they slow you can see the outline of the buffalo running.
    2009 Singed, includes the artist certificate of authenticity. The pine wood stand was made by the artist specific for this sculpture.
