Arne Vodder Danish Modern Tambour Door Cabinet in Teak for Sibast 1950s
-
Description
Exquisitely crafted upright storage cabinet designed by Arne Vodder and produced by Sibast of Denmark.
The tambour doors are very well constructed and function smoothly and as intended. This is an early example with the more desirable petite steel and teak legs. The teak wood grain exterior of this example has a lot of movement in it and is complementary to the lighter birch interior. The adjustable shelves can be removed to accommodate larger items. This cabinet would function well as a vertical server/credenza or would be equally useful as a bedroom/gentleman's chest. -
