Description
A French Rococo style early 20th century painted metal three-light lantern with glass panels. This French lantern features an exquisite off-white painted metal armature. The upper section is delicately adorned with acanthus leaves. The glass panels are accented by rope moldings, followed by rinceaux motifs. The lower section of the lantern is adorned with delicate scrolls, creating the perfect conclusion to this piece. Born during the Roaring Twenties (les Années Folles), this French Rococo style lantern has been rewired for the US and comes with a chain and canopy painted to match. With its rich foliage décor and nicely weathered patina, this French three-light lantern will make a dramatic statement in any entry, hallway or powder room.
