    Biography
Aldo Nason (1920), Italian designer belonging to a large family of glassmakers, is the son of Emilio Nason, one of the founders in 1932 of the collective of master glassmakers Arte Vetraria Muranese (AVEM). AVEM first directed its research towards obtaining precious chromatic effects with inclusions of gold and silver and used “pulegoso” glass, invented in the 1920s in Murano by Martinuzzi, made up of numerous small air bubbles. produced by the addition of baking soda, which gives the glass an irregular texture with a very decorative finish. Working with Murano glass, Aldo Nason remains known for his tubular lighting fixtures, available in many forms and characterized by a modern Italian style mixed with “Space Age” design.

    Story

Mazzega has been creating Murano glass since 1946. The company has revived the heritage of master glassmakers by innovating and creating new modern forms thanks to numerous designers like the Nason.
