Description
Aneta Lighting AB was established in 1947, and over the years, the company has collaborated with Swedish designers to create cosy, timeless lamps. Among them was Jan Wickelgren, whose design language is based on the organicity and historic quality of Swedish design.
This brass table lamp features a distinctively curved structure and a layered shade. The design is simple, yet it radiates quality and style through its unique solutions. The solid brass body has wonderful curves, especially the neck connecting the base and the shade. This pronounced curve sets the overall impression along with the shade that has a layered look. Each layer increases in size gradually, opening up like a flower. The largest layer reveals the black lacquered inner rim and the lightbulb. Through a ball joint, the head can be adjusted freely, allowing the light to be focused in any direction. The base is similarly, layered, mimicking the shade. The bright, polished brass is eye-catching with a beautiful patina that only adds to its charm. Since the design features organic lines and evidently focuses on the characteristics of the brass itself, it recalls the lighting designs of the mid-century modern movement.
Swedish designer, Jan Wickelgren’s artistic ability to easily connect line and material is especially visible in this table lamp. Thanks to its generous size and design features, this model is a perfect accent lamp, sure to stand out in any interior.
