Description
Aneta Lighting AB was established in 1947, and has collaborated with Swedish designers to create cosy, timeless lamps. Over the years, the company has remained one of the market-leading players in the category of decorative home lighting, producing both lighting and lampshades.
Manufactured by Aneta during the 1950s, this table lamp is distinguished by an unusual spiral brass stem that transforms a simple structural element into the defining feature of the model. The lamp reflects the Scandinavian preference for well-proportioned forms and high-quality materials, while allowing its distinctive construction to take centre stage. The carefully bent brass creates a spring-like look running from the circular base to the socket. This stand-out element gives the stem depth and texture, catching the light differently as it is flows toward the shade. The restrained cylindrical shade balances the intricacy of the brass work, diffusing light evenly while preserving the clean silhouette of the lamp. Every component is carefully constructed, from the compact base to the rounded body, resulting in a composition that feels cohesive without relying on excess embellishment.
Compact in scale but visually distinctive, the lamp demonstrates how thoughtful detailing can transform an industrial element into a warm piece of interior design. The patinated brass introduces richness and character, while the clear geometry allows it to integrate naturally into a wide range of interiors, functioning equally well as ambient lighting and as a sculptural decorative object.
