Description
This table lamp, manufactured by the Dutch firm Artiforte, features a vibrant orange cylindrical shade mounted within a streamlined chromed steel frame. The tripod base consists of three thin vertical rods that serve as both the structural support and a decorative border for the shade. This design emphasizes the clean lines and material contrast typical of 1960s Dutch modernism. The fabric shade is designed to emit a warm, diffused glow suitable for accent lighting.
Artiforte, founded in Rotterdam in 1930, became one of the most significant Dutch lighting manufacturers of the post-war era. The company is best known for its collaborations with prominent designers such as Kho Liang Ie and Henk Fillekes, producing high-quality fixtures that balanced industrial precision with a refined, modern aesthetic. -
