Description
The "Bumling" wall sconce was designed by Anders Pehrson for Atelje Lyktan in 1970. This model features a brass shade with a signature circular profile, mounted on a flexible rod that allows for adjustable light direction. As a classic of Swedish mid-century design, the Bumling series is celebrated for its functional simplicity and high-quality metalwork.
Anders Pehrson (1912–1982) was a prominent Swedish industrial designer and the long-time head of design and managing director at Atelje Lyktan. He is best known for creating the "Bumling" lighting range in 1968, which became a commercial sensation and a staple of Scandinavian interior design. His work focuses on "social lighting," emphasizing practical, glare-free illumination integrated into clean, geometric silhouettes. -
