Description
Baccarat crystal lamp, each of the four parts molded with an overall swirl pattern, now French wired.
Molded "BACCARAT" mark to the bottom. (See photo.)
18" tall to the top of the glass. 22" to the top of the socket
Although the Baccarat factory has been in production since 1765, wares weren't marked until well into the 19th century. The molded mark as seen on this lamp was in use by the late 1870s. By the 1920s it was supplanted by the etched logo of a decanter and two drinking glasses, which was later replaced by the familiar script mark. -
