Description
Created by master craftsmen, the Swedish lighting models of the once Borås based manufacturer, Boréns, are timelessly beautiful. Swedish lighting designers were masters of creating pieces with great texture variety as this table lamp shows.
This table lamp possesses a look that does not abandon either functionality or aesthetic features. Characterised by clean lines, the elegant wooden stem, and intuitive functionality, this Swedish table lamp is eternally timeless and timely. Like many of the decade’s designs, this lamp masterfully pairs materials and textures. The pairing of brass and wood creates an interesting visual effect, where the elegant and traditional look of the wood meets the modern aesthetic of the bright, polished brass. The green lampshade “crowns” the lamp beautifully; at the same time the brass rim and cap serve as neat visual points of interest. The triangular shape of the shade accentuates the overall sleek silhouette of the piece, meanwhile, the inside of the reflector is lacquered white to enhance its functionality, helping it reflect and diffuse light. Chromatically, this table lamp transmits a warm, inviting glow, through the complementing shades of brown, forest green, and the honey bronze metal colour. The two bulbs provide warm light, which brings a soft ambience, even further highlighting the beauty of the design.
This Boréns table lamp brings a touch of Scandinavian style to a space, while providing both atmospheric light and an aesthetically pleasing look. Through its qualities, this lamp embodies the ethos of its era and rich history, contributing to the creation of a perfectly cosy interior.
