Description
Carl Auböck 'Horseshoe' Bamboo and Brass Table Lamp
Designed in the 1950s, this model #3741 or 'Horseshoe' lamp is a versatile and minimalist table lamp executed in bamboo and brass with a heavy horseshoe-shaped solid brass base. Each lamp includes a sculptural hard red paper shade by Werkstätte Carl Auböck in Vienna, Austria.
Authorized re-edition produced by Carl Auböck IV in the original Auböck workshop in the 7th district of Vienna using the same exacting standards, high-quality materials, original molds, and techniques of his legendary namesake. Auböck's design career was long and varied, reaching its pinnacle of prestige at the Triennale di Milano in 1954, where he received four gold medals in recognition of his iconic work.

Accommodates 1x standard medium base (e26) bulb, (LED only- 60 watt equivalent); 10.8' black textile cord with inline on/off switch and US male plug.
Please note one representative example is featured in the images. Finish may vary from piece to piece due to their handmade nature. Brass is not lacquered and will develop a natural patina over time and may already shows signs of patination due to handling, exposure to the elements, and storage. Original shine can be restored with a brass polish.
