Description
Large Daniel Becker 'Charlotte' brass sculptural chandelier for Moss Objects. Designed by Berlin luminary Daniel Becker, recipient of the prestigious German Design Award in 2019, the creation of the 'Charlotte' was inspired by the remaining traces of Berlin's 1920s style in Becker's hometown.
Executed in brass and utilizing the newest generation of filament LEDs which are remarkably thin while still being completely even and homogeneous in their light output. These ultra-thin filaments create an intense line while retaining an organic and refined aesthetic. Despite its dramatic scale, it is an unusually lightweight and sculptural design fabricated in brushed brass which will develop a natural patina over time.
When turned off, Charlotte is a refined sculptural object with subtle technical detailing referencing heavy metalwork. Turned on, its light sources seem to float in space weightlessly. The proportions of the luminaire have been designed to fit large tables. The two upper LED sources emit the light directly upwards while the other two illuminate the table surface generously.
