Description
1960s Sergio Mazza 'Tau' pendants for Artmeide. Executed in nickeled brass, black painted metal, opaline and pressed glass. An incredibly warm and refined design from one of Italy's most illustrious midcentury icons. Height can be adjusted several inches up or down.
1 available in nickeled brass and 3 available in polished brass in a separate listing.
Born in Italy in 1931, Sergio Mazza created numerous iconic designs for Artemide throughout the 1960s, from a range of lighting to fiberglass molded seating and other home furnishings which due to their limited production runs have become highly collectible with their clean lines and intuitive utility.
Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Please contact dealer to facilitate.
Each lamp accommodates a single 75 watt medium base LED bulb (lower with incandescent). -

Documentation: Signed Origin: Italy Period: New Materials: Pressed Glass, Painted Metal, Brass, Opaline Glass Condition: Good. Refinished. Rewired for US and professionally repainted and polished. New cord, medium base socket and modified canopy for mounting over standard American j-box. Some, patination, dings, bends and scuffs noted only for accuracy.
