Danish Modern Table or Desk Lamp in Patinated Brass, White Lacquer, 1950s

Description
This rare table or desk lamp was designed and produced in Denmark in the early 1950s.
The striking design features a circular base in patinated brass and a central column in white-lacquered metal. The bulb fitting is also made of patinated brass. The three-tiered shade is crafted from brass screens. The generous width of the shades offers a refined contrast to the elegant, slender form of the central stem. When lit, the shade provides a pleasant, softly diffused light.
The lamp is in a good, completely original condition. The brass has developed a beautiful and even patina. Minor wear consistent with age and use. It is currently wired for 220V with a European plug and fitted with a standard E26/E27 bulb socket. -
