Description
This striking pair of table lamps was designed by Henrik Blomqvist and produced by the Swedish manufacturer Stilarmatur Tranås in the 1960s. The lamps are marked with the manufacturer’s label on the bulb fitting.
The base is crafted entirely from brass, which has developed a natural patina over time. Two substantial brass spheres form the centerpiece of the lamp's distinctive design. Complementing this, the circular foot and organically shaped brass columns complete the elegant structure. The slightly tapered drum shades have been renewed with an ivory, silk-textured fabric.
The lamps are in very good, original condition. The brass shows a natural patina with some very minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The shades have been renewed. They currently feature European 220V wiring and plugs.
Specified Dimensions:
Total height including shade: 61.5 cm / 24.21 inches
Height of the base only (excluding shade): 42 cm / 16.54 inches
Diameter of the shade: 40 cm / 15.75 inches at the widest point
