Description
Designer: Donghia
Italy - Circa Early 21st Century
Dimensions: 31" H x 11.5" W x 7" D
Condition: Very good vintage condition.
Introducing the Donghia “Origami Temko” table lamp, a contemporary marvel of lighting design hailing from Italy. This lamp pays homage to Florence Temko, a luminary in the art of origami in the United States, capturing the spirit of her work in its sculptural form and precise folds.
The Origami Temko lamp is an exquisite fusion of art and function, crafted from stainless steel and characterized by its bold geometric shape. The interior boasts a mirror-polished finish, reflecting light and surroundings to stunning effect, while the exterior is treated with a hand-rubbed patina finish, giving it a depth of character and a tactile quality that invites interaction.
Measuring 31 inches in height, 11.5 inches in width, and 7 inches in depth, the lamp is both a substantial and commanding presence in any room. Designed to accommodate two standard light bulbs with a maximum of 75 watts each, it provides ample illumination, making it both a focal point and a source of ambiance.
The lamp is equipped with a brown cloth-covered cord, complementing its sophisticated design, and features an in-line rotary dimmable on/off switch, allowing for the precise control of light intensity to match any mood or occasion.
Functionality meets flexibility with an adjustable stem, permitting various shade heights to tailor the lighting experience to your preference. Sold sans shade. The heavy geometric finial is not only a practical component but also a continuation of the lamp's design narrative, enhancing its modern aesthetic.
The “Origami Temko” lamp is more than a mere lighting fixture; it is a piece of modern sculpture. Its presence in a space is a testament to Donghia's commitment to craftsmanship and design excellence, offering a touch of the avant-garde to the discerning collector or design enthusiast. -
