Exceptional Pair of Swedish Modern Table Lamps in Turned Masur Birch, 1930s
-
Description
This exceptional pair of table lamps was produced in Sweden in the early 1930s.
The striking design features a large, central orb-shaped body supported by four spherical feet and topped with a finely turned wooden element. Crafted from solid Masur birch, the lamps showcase the wood’s distinctive, richly figured grain. The tall, tapered lampshades have been newly made in an ivory silk-textured fabric, complementing the warm tones of the wood. This whimsical yet elegant pair would make a versatile and characterful addition to a range of interior styles.
Both lamps are in very good condition, with updated wiring, new bulb fittings, and new shades. They are currently wired for 220V European outlets and use standard E26/E27 bulbs.
