Description
Designed by Johannes (Jo) Hammerborg in 1963, the "Nova" pendant is an iconic example of Danish modernist lighting. The fixture features three concentric aluminium rings that effectively conceal the light source while diffusing a soft, architectural glow. Hammerborg, who served as head of design at Fog & Mørup from 1957 to 1980, utilized his background as a silversmith to create sleek, streamlined forms that defined the company's most successful era. The "Nova" received the CICi first prize in 1965, solidifying its status as a landmark of 20th-century Scandinavian design.
