Italian Chandelier Pendant light attributed to Fontana Arte & Pietro Chiesa. Spectacular Pendant style chandelier having both upward and downward light. Sockets have been updated (the original sockets are available if desired). Solid brass spun crown on top houses four ceramic sockets providing upward light. Large domed glass below houses six porcelain sockets above a beautiful infused glass inverted dome. White glass infused in a series of spiral rings overlapping creating a perfectly balanced geometric design within the glass. A remarkable handmade conical brass finial caps this chandelier holding the infused glass dome into the larger glass dome which is toped with the brass crown. The glass are handmade artesian pieces with some irregularities to shape and form consistent with this process. The height (pole length) can be customized to any required specification.

Pietro Chiesa died in 1948, having helped propel glasswork into the 20th century while taking modernist design to new heights both technically and aesthetically. Chiesa utilized his immense knowledge of glass in designing over a thousand technically complicated, elegantly modern pieces for Fontana Arte, including glass vessels, decorative objects, mirrors, lamps, tables, cabinets and other furniture.
