George Kovacs for Kovacs Lighting, 90-Degree Desk Lamp, c. 1970
Chrome-plated steel with round plastic dimmer/on-off switch mounted to the side. The lamp’s angular form reflects the geometry of a precision machinist’s square, a tool used to check for squareness and mark lines at 90-degree angles.
