Monumental Ceramic Table Lamp with Raffia Shade by Georges Pelletier

Creator: Georges Pelletier
Offered by: Galerie Glustin Luminaires

Description
Highly sculptural ceramic table lamp by French ceramist Georges Pelletier, created in France during the 1970s. The lamp features Pelletier's iconic handcrafted stoneware body with richly textured earthy glazes, pierced geometric motifs, and delicate suspended ceramic bead details embedded within the openwork structure.

Its tall architectural silhouette is crowned with a dramatic natural raffia shade, adding warmth and an organic presence that perfectly complements the artisanal ceramic base. When illuminated, the perforated body emits a soft atmospheric glow through the sculpted openings, emphasizing the lamp's handcrafted character and Brutalist sensitivity.

An important decorative piece representative of Georges Pelletier's celebrated fusion of ceramic craftsmanship, Mediterranean influence, and organic modern design.
