Description
Pair of Custom Solid Brass Obelisk Table Lamps, Circa 2000
An exceptional pair of custom-engineered modernist table lamps distinguished by their bold architectural form and substantial construction. Three-sided tapered obelisk bases are crafted from heavy solid brass, creating a strong sculptural presence while showcasing the warmth and richness of the material.
A chrome-plated steel cord feeder rises from each base, introducing a refined industrial contrast and transforming a functional element into a key design feature. The lamps are fitted with cloth-covered cords and pull-chain on/off switches. Shown with deep linen black drum shades, the design balances modernist geometry with sophisticated craftsmanship.
When illuminated, light reflects softly across the faceted brass surfaces, creating a warm architectural glow well suited to contemporary, modernist, and mid-century-inspired interiors.
