An elegant and sculptural pair of Swedish wall sconces designed by Hans Agne Jakobsson, model V 149/7, produced in Sweden during the 1950s. These refined mid-century fixtures feature seven elongated tapered opaline glass shades rising from warm brass mounts, creating a striking vertical composition reminiscent of stylized candle flames or architectural spiers.

Hans Agne Jakobsson (1919–2009) was one of Sweden's most important mid-century lighting designers. After studying architecture in Gothenburg and working with notable Scandinavian firms he founded his own company in Markaryd in 1951. Jakobsson became internationally recognized for lighting that emphasized warmth, intimacy, and material richness rather than harsh direct illumination.
Working primarily in brass, copper, wood, and glass, he created fixtures with sculptural silhouettes and softly diffused light, aligning functional modernism with a distinctly atmospheric sensitivity. Today, his designs are highly sought after by collectors worldwide and remain icons of Scandinavian modern design.
