Jean Touret Iron and Wicker Floor Lamp for Marolles
-
Description
A tall Jean Touret floor lamp for Artisans de Marolles. The lamp is made of an iron stem with a large wicker hood, standing on a heavy oak base. The hood has an adjustable round wicker element underneath, to change the direction of the light. The element can also function as a plateau, when placed at a lower position.
This piece was part of a large estate of Touret items, bought directly from the sons of the owners. The Atelier Marolles was commissioned to furnish the house in Blois, from a dinner table and sideboard to items like this one. The items were made under the direction of and designed by Jean Touret.
We have several other items by Touret available. The Charlotte Perriand stool pictured is also available at Bloomberry. -
