Description
M5 model table lamp designed by Joseph-André Motte and produced by Les Huchers around 1958. Manufactured by Disderot. One of Mottes most iconic designs. This vintage example is in excellent condition with no cracks or discoloration to the plexiglass. The design features a curved brass form, providing a sleek and seamless appearance that highlights the craftsmanship involved in its creation. A distinctive feature of the M5 table lamp is its two sculptural Perspex shades. These shades, designed to interconnect like puzzle pieces, offer both functionality and artistic appeal.
Retains its original wiring. Will be rewired upon request. Collectors often want to keep the original wiring. This lamp is checked at Pavilion and functions perfectly and it is cleaned and is also suitable for use in the USA. For USA usage we could change the plug upon request.

Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
