Description
An iconic Scandinavian Design lamp "Finnmark" model 0989, designed by Kai Ruokonen and manufactured by Orno Oy in the 1970s for the Vaakuna Hotel in Helsinki, Finland. The same model was also used later in the Palace Hotel Helsinki. A very simple yet elegant heavy duty lamp in full brass with a beautiful patina. There is something magical about the coldness of brass and the warmth of the light filtering through the shade. The condition is consistent with age, showing some signs of normal use and wear, but the overall impression is good and the patina is gorgeous. The lamp carries the manufacturer's label Orno and model number.
At the moment we have another floor lamp of the same model and two table lamps if you are looking for a set. All listed separately on 1stdibs. -
