The lamp features a sleek brass stem and body, crowned with a softly diffusing opaline glass shade. Lisa Johansson-Pape (1907–1989) was a pioneering Finnish designer celebrated for her lighting and furniture. A functionalist at heart, she prioritized a lamp’s purpose before its aesthetics, resulting in designs that are as practical as they are beautiful. After designing furniture for Stockmann, she focused on lighting for Orno Oy (a Stockmann-owned company), earning international acclaim—including multiple medals at the Milan Triennials in the 1950s.
