Description
1950s Cylindrical Brass and Opaline Glass Table Lamp for Arlus.
Executed in opaline glass and patinated brass, this refined table lamp is attributed to French lighting manufacturer Arlus. Minimalist yet highly functional, its warm diffused light is dimmable via a brass lever at the base of the shade, making this piece ideal for a wide variety of applications. A quintessentially 1950s midcentury design. Unmarked.
Arlus, or Maison Arlus, is a French company established in the 1950s. Their name is derived from the words "art" and "lustre", meaning "chandelier" in French. The brand was widely known for their lamps produced in this geometric style.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only). Dimmable. Professionally rewired for US electrical with new black twist cloth cord and period styled US wall plug. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
