Elegant and stunning pair of French midcentury patinated bronze 'Lotus' form table lamps by Maison Charles embracing the modern neoclassical, the romantic and the modern.
The pair is composed of the highest quality of design and handcraft for which Charles was noted immediately after World War II. A bronze plinth base supports a bronze lotus bud about to open (symbolizing the new beginning of life after the war) and the piece is completed with solid bronze shades.
Stamped: Made in France, Charles on the plinth base. -
