Description
Pair of 1950s Mauri Almari Perforated Brass Sconces for Itsu.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors in the know. Executed in beautifully patinated brass with perforations that create a stunning pattern of light and dark when illuminated. Shades freely rotate left/right and up/down on a sculpturally designed ball joint.
Price is for the pair.
Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb. Professionally rewired for US electrical with custom period-style brass backplate added for mounting over a standard US j-box. On/off switch on backplate. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor for additional fee. Contact us to facilitate. Overall fixture length: 7.25 in. Shade max diameter: 3.5 in.
