This table lamp was produced by Michael Andersen & Søn in Bornholm, Denmark, in the 1940s. Few examples of this model are known, and it is exceptionally rare to find one in this distinctive blue glaze. The lamp bears the manufacturer’s label on the underside of the base.
The striking design features a generously sized rounded ceramic body finished in a navy blue glaze. Its elegantly executed openwork relief follows a botanical theme, incorporating leaves, branches, and berries.
The drum-shaped shade is a custom design in cream-colored Pierre Frey pure silk, offering a refined contrast to the deep blue base. The silk texture adds a sophisticated touch when illuminated.
The lamp is in very good condition, with updated wiring and a completely new shade. It is currently fitted with 220V European wiring and a standard E26/E27 bulb socket.
